What to Expect
Three guys, two guitars, one good time.
We like to think of our gigs as a party in your living room or around the fire pit. “What do you want to hear?” And everyone sings along.
An acoustic trio playing classic songs unplugged.
We’re amplified but not electrified. We don’t have blaring guitars, crashing drums and screaming vocals. Yes, it’s classic rock but unplugged.
We don’t play to track. What you see is what you hear. There are no special effects no karaoke machines to help. Just basic musicians having fun.
We have our own PA, use a small drum kit, and guitar players are on stools or stand.
We hand out Request Lists so people can see what we play and ask for a song they like. That goes over very well.
We bring our own PA, set up in about 45 minutes and we’re ready to go.
We usually take two breaks within a 3 hour gig, but lots of times when things are really cooking we just keep playing.

About
Let’s just say that the three of us have been playing in bands since we were in high school and that was a long time ago. We actually met in church where we played contemporary Christian music then realized that we could take this show on the road.
We started out as Doug & Tony, and we often kidded about it sounding like “Dog & Pony”. When we added Dave on percussion it was a natural transition into The Dog & Pony Show.
We’ve played at Bar Louie in Geneva, Tap House Grill in St. Charles, Rascal’s in Geneva, Bandito Barney’s in East Dundee, Hawthorn’s in West Chicago, River’s Edge, The Lodge and Rondez Vu in Batavia, American Legion halls, several fund raisers and charity events. And we always have a good time. All the owners and managers love us because we have a great draw.
And it’s worth mentioning again that we’ve played many private parties. People see us at bars/restaurants and ask us to play at their event. We never disappoint.
